Key points of the meeting
On the 1st, MKBC Chairman Kang Dong-gu and S. Gerelmaa, Director of the National Center for Public Health of Mongolia, signed an MOU at the Center covering business cooperation in health and medical care, promotion of K-medical tourism, and a hospital and medical-device exhibition planned for 2027.
The agreement aims to introduce Korean hospital equipment, medical devices, supplies and advanced medical technology to the Mongolian market and to build a lasting framework for cooperation among medical institutions, research bodies and companies of both countries. Director Gerelmaa showed strong interest in diagnostic and testing systems, digital healthcare, AI, and exchanges on equipment operation and maintenance.
The two organizations plan to support the entry of K-hospital equipment and medical devices into Mongolia, take part jointly in the K-medical tourism, hospital and health sections of the International Multi Expo, and use the 2027 exhibition as a venue where medical-industry professionals and companies from both countries meet directly.
The two organizations also agreed to expand cooperation step by step through expert exchanges, training programs, seminars and conferences, joint research and projects. Chairman Kang said he hopes the agreement will broaden exchanges between the two countries’ hospital and medical industries and that MKBC will do its best to achieve real results in exporting K-hospital equipment, medical devices and new-technology products.
